Forum of Azerbaijani Students and Young Professionals in Europe (FASE) will hold its next forum in Brussels, Belgium on 23-25 March 2010. The 3-day Forum intends to bring together active Azerbaijani youth studying/working in Europe to discuss the issues pertaining to both our European and Azerbaijan agendas such as security and stability in the South Caucasus, Azerbaijan’s integration into Europe and bringing the best European expertise to Azerbaijan as well as to visit European structures, meet with different Members of European Parliament, EU officials and also to network with each other.

Welcoming together a large group of active Azerbaijani students and young professionals across Europe along with well-balanced panel members consisting of prominent policy-makers and opinion-formers both from Azerbaijan and Europe will give us an outstanding chance to discuss our part of job in establishing more consistent work with a view to raising awareness on Azerbaijan’s occupied territories, contributing to our country’s integration into Europe (e.g. building people-to-people contacts, cultural interchange, unity in diversity and win-win strategy) as well as developing more effective ways of delivering the best of our European expertise to our society (promoting and helping to develop a new platform to manage the human capital coming from abroad). 

The brief outline of the Forum will be as follows:

First half of the day - Check-in 
15:00 – 18:00 – Plenary meeting at the European Parliament
19:00 – 21:00 – Small reception at the EP  

Wednesday, 24 March 2010

Full day – Individual meetings with the Members of European Parliament.

Thursday, 25 March 2010

First half of the day - Group discussions (Venue tbc)
15:00 – 18:00 – Visits to European Commission or NATO premises OR free time (Optional)
19:00 – 24:00 ‘Spring Passions’ Party at @7 International Community – Mirano Continental (a band from Azerbaijan, European DJs)

The participants will be furnished with the full detailed concept and program closer to the time of the Forum. 

FASE will cover accommodation and meal (three times a day) expenses of the participants, whereas the participants themselves will bear their travel expenses in relation to participation in the Forum. FASE might also provide necessary official letters should any of the participants need to obtain a visa. 

The participants will be selected based on the criteria of being well-reasoned and well-motivated for the participation in the Forum. As the working language of the Forum will be English, they are also expected to have a good command over English language.
